Monte Williams – The Bulldog

His mantra of “making things better” utilizes his talents of analytical thinking and problem solving to improve the processes and systems of Drewett Works.

A Ruston, Louisiana native, Monte moved to Scottsdale, Arizona in April 2016 to join the DW team as Operations Manager. His background as a registered financial planner and Chief Financial Officer equipped Monte with just the right skill set to join the DW team and bring efficiency, project management, and financial planning to the administrative realm of Drewett Works.

Known affectionately by the Drewett family as “the bulldog,” Monte graduated from Louisiana Tech University with a Bachelor of Science in Finance. The nickname — which is coincidentally the LA Tech mascot — actually came from his tenure at Spring Media where he was CFO and business partner with Elizabeth Drewett. His principled approach to the financial health of the company earned him the name and the respect of those he worked alongside. He is married to Jill and is a father to three and a father-figure to many. Fun fact: Monte and Elizabeth have known each other since junior high school!

Wanna get to know Monte a little better? Here we go.

What is your greatest fear? Having regrets at 80.
Name two things you do every day. Thank God for my blessings and hug and kiss my daughter!
What aspect of your profession gives you the greatest gratification? Making things better than they were.
What is your dream getaway?  The wine country with close friends/couples.
What do you do to relax? Pool time and grilling with friends.
Most embarrassing moment? Splits on the wet gym floor while being introduced to the school in seventh grade.
If you were granted one wish, what would you wish for? Extreme health and happiness for my friends and family and our future generations.
What is your favorite type of movie? Action…mafia, blood, and beat downs!
What one life lesson have you learned so far, and what does it mean to you? “Friend” and “love” are used entirely too loosely. I mean them both and the people around me know this!
